Teen Playwright’s Café

Have an idea for a play? Working on a script and need some guidance? Have a cup of coffee or tea, hang out with other teen playwrights and get feedback from the literary staff here at Berkeley Rep. Hear from commissioned playwrights, dramaturgs and actors about writing for the stage in a supportive, relaxed environment. Playwright’s Café activities are held at the Berkeley Rep School of Theatre.

Congrats to the winners of the 2012 Teen One-Acts Playwriting Competition!

  • The Adoration by Emma Dudley (Berkeley High School)
  • The Inventors by Frances Maples (Acalanes High School)

These teen playwrights will see their work go from page to stage at the Teen One-Acts Festival this spring at Berkeley Rep School of Theatre. Click here for more info on how to get involved as a teen actor, designer, dramaturg, stage manager, producer and more!

Please check back for the next Teen Playwright’s Café event.
