School of Theatre > For teens > Teen Council > Committees
Members can practice leadership by participating in one of four committees designed to set the calendar of events and uphold the mission of Teen Council. All members are encouraged to join a committee, but it isn’t a requirement.
Mentored by the director of Berkeley Rep School of Theatre, Rachel Fink, we meet once a month to identify issues important to arts advocacy and use our voices in the fight for more funding, more access and more arts programming. Started by members in 2009, this committee is picking up national recognition for their work in advocating for arts education.
Teen Council has members from across the nine counties of the Bay Area! Last year, over 50 high schools were represented. This committee works to serve the members even better, recruit new members and connect the larger community of teens to Teen Council.

Mentored by staff at Berkeley Rep, we organize, plan and run our own events at Berkeley Rep like our Murder Mystery, Improv Nights and Dramathon. Help decide what, when and how we schedule the year!
Our marketing team creates videos, posters, Facebook ads and more. Get the word out about our events, meetings and the shows here at Berkeley Rep! A great opportunity to gain marketing skills through projects that we have real artistic control over.
Join a committee by coming to any monthly meeting on the first Wednesday of the month!
